Tad Jackson
Tacoma Fire Department hired Tad in May of 1995. He has worked primarily in the North Battalion. He is currently the Lieutenant on Engine #4 A shift, which is located in Tacoma’s Hill Top neighborhood. Tad has held several different union positions since he was hired. From Recording Secretary, Executive board for three terms and Vice President. He was the locals MDA representative for 6 years as well as the director of the Jimmy Cason Memorial Golf Tournament for the past ten years. He has been married to his wife Shelley for the past 19+ years and they have 2 children. Tad was elected to Local #31 President in October of 2008.

Matt Frank
Matt became a proud member of the Tacoma Firefighters IAFF Local 31 on April 24, 2000. Matt continued to become more involved with Local 31 after he completed his first year with the Tacoma Fire Department. He has served the members of our Local as a Trustee, Recording Secretary, Executive Board Member, and since 2008 as the Vice President. Matt currently works in downtown Tacoma at Station 1 (Engine 1 3rd) and has done so since 2003.

Albert Frank
Albert was hired by Tacoma Fire in May of 1995 and for the past 7 years I have worked on Engine 9 B shift proudly serving the citizens of North Tacoma . In the past he has served as the recording secretary and has held his current position on the executive board for the past 6 years, he is currently serving on the board for the building association. Brett Collett
Brett was hired by TFD in March of 2003, and currently is the third person on Engine 8 C-Shift. Brett first served as a Trustee before being elected to the Executive Board in 2006. He serves on the Safety Committee, Accident Review Board, and Training Team. Brett and his wife Vanessa were married in 2006 and live in South Tacoma.

Grant Erb
Grant was hired during the Dark Ages of the Tacoma Fire Dept. in
February 1978, becoming one of the first LEOFF II Firefighters. He
currently works as the B-shift Officer on E06 and the Fireboat.
Previous assignments were as a PM on Rescue One, Officer on E08 and E14
'A', and as an Inspector/Investigator at FPB.
Grant is presently serving his second term on the Executive Board, and
has actively partcipated in Local 31 events and projects for 31 years.
He resides with Liz, his bride of 20+ years, and his Min-Pin, "Maggie".

Lee Reid
Lee Reid was hired in March of 2002. He currently works on Medic 2 D shift. He previously was a firefighter with the Dupont Fire Department and served his Local as both the Sec/Tres and President. Dupont was an outstanding educational experience involving organizing a brand new local and bargaining that locals very first Union contract. Since 2002, Lee has served one term as Recording Sect. and is currently serving on the Executive Board. Lee also proudly represents L31 and TFD on the Honor Guard. Lee is married to his wife Heather and they have two children; Sydnee and Alex.

Larry Ritch
Larry was hired by the Tacoma Fire Department in March of 2003. He currently works on Ladder 1 A-shift downtown in the North Battalion. He has been active in the Local since being hired. In 2007 he was appointed to Recording Secretary until being elected to the Executive Board in December of 2008. He is currently the MDA representative and serves on the Firefighters' Ball Committee as well as the Safety and Accident Review Boards. In his off time Larry enjoys spending time with friends, golf and playing softball for the Locals softball team.

Ryan Mudie
Ryan Mudie proudly joined IAFF Local 2819 in April of 2000 with Kitsap County District 18. In 2001 he was elected to the Executive Board, where he was the Political Action Coordinator for his bargaining unit. He also organized and worked on state and local campaigns (EMS, I-790, Commissioners positions). In 2003 Ryan became a proud and active member of Local 31. He is currently serving his fellow Tacoma Firefighters as Recording Secretary. This is a position that he was appointed to in January of 2009. Ryan is currently the Medic on Engine 10 B-Shift, located in the South End of Tacoma.
