Brothers and Sisters,

Your Local 31 Executive Board has endorsed two candidates early on in this years election cycle.  They are Anders Ibsen, Position 1 of our Tacoma City council, and Ryan Mello, Position 8 Tacoma City council.  They are the incumbents in both races and have been supportive of our issues in these trying times.  We will be getting out more information on how to support these candidates in the coming months. We are watching the other races closely and will be starting the interview process for candidates interested in those positions shortly.  The last day to file for office in Pierce County is 5/15/15, the primary will be 8/4/15, and those who make it past the primary will be on the ballot for the General election on 11/3/15.  Please consider coming out to help when we put out the ask for sign making, sign waving, doorbelling, and leaf dropping.  Our greatest strength and impact is shown when we live up to and exceed the expectations of the candidates we endorse.  It truly gives us our voice when we need it the most.  Thank you!
