JACKSON'S PARTY
DAVE JACKSON HAS HUNG UP HIS FIRE HELMET ON THE RACK FOR THE LAST TIME. HE HAS REPLACED IT WITH SOME REAL LARGE SUNGLASSES, PLAID HIGH-WATER PANTS, BLACK SOCKS AND VELCRO FASTENED SHOES. HE NOW SHUFFLES WHEN HE WALKS, DRIVES SLOW IN THE FAST LANE AND IS PRIMED AND READY TO FACE RETIREMENT HEAD ON. HE AND HIS WIFE SHARI ARE CURRENTLY IN MOROCCO HELPING THE LOCALS BUILD HOMES. HE WILL RETURN FOR HIS RETIREMENT PARTY ON APRIL 25TH AT THE UNION HALL. PLEASE COME OUT AND LET'S GIVE THIS INCREDIBLY TALENTED BATTALION CHIEF A GREAT TACOMA FIRE SEND OFF. PARTY TO START AROUND 15:00 AND WILL END WHEN WE RUN OUT OF STORIES, WHICH COULD TAKE AWHILE.

Dear Local 31 Members,
Heartfelt thanks for all of the donated sick leave. Alwas deeply touched by the out-pouring of generosity and it brought him immensepeach of mind.
He also appreciated the visits, cards, prayers and giftsthat buoyed his spirits.
A special thank you to the Honor Guard. The flagposting and bell ceremony were very moving.
Al had specifically asked that the Pipers play at hisservice. He would have been so pleased: Amazing Grace was trulyamazing.

CPR Training
FREE CPR TRAINING
The Tacoma Fire Department provides FREE CPR classes to the citizens of Tacoma, Fife, and Fircrest. These classes are taught with funds from the EMS levy. All classes are taught by professional firefighters who will bring real life experiances to the classes.
